French, 16th Century engraving, hand-coloured, by famous artist of the time Rosingol. Birds-eye view of Paris of the 17th century elaborately-decorated with scenes of Parisian life: chevaliers, ladies of the court. Very decorative and rare. Perfect condition, engraving measures 9 1/2" x 8", subject itself measures 6" (width) x 5 1/2" (height).

Modern Japanese Woodblock print by Mikumo of a typical street scene in Kyoto, Japan. Limited series, this is 296 of only 700. This woodblock was the winner of a nationwide tourism contest sponsored by the Japanese Government. Printed about 1970. A collector's item. Size is 16" high x 11"wide. Unframed. Condition perfect.
